Hanoi (VNA)ꦿ – The Vietnam International Travel Mart (VITM) 2025 will take place in Hanoi from April 10-13, the Vietnam Tourism Association (VITA) announced at a press conference on March 25.

Themed "Developing Green Destinations - Elevating Vietnamese Tourism," VITM Hanoi 2025 is expected to feature 450 booths of 60 domestic and international tourism promotion agencies, eight airlines, 16 countries and territories, and over 600 businesses. VITA Permanent Vice President Cao Thi Ngoc Lan said VITM 2025 will announce and showcase exemplary green destinations in Vietnam, as well as attractive and diverse green tourism products to attract businesses and visitors. Lan said that VITM 2025 will provide visitors with exciting experiences, including promotional programmes for tours, airline tickets, hotels, One Commune-One Product (OCOP) products, and many attractive destinations across Vietnam. Currently, there have been 1,228 appointments registered in the VITM system.
Notably, this year's fair will feature a section dedicated to showcasing some successes of the digital transformation programme, including notable applications of artificial intelligence (AI) and robotics in the travel, hotel, and tourism service sectors. The fair will also host activities for business-to-business (B2B) and business-to-consumer (B2C) meetings, as well as various tourism promotion activities organised by Vietnamese and international tourism companies. As part of VITM Hanoi 2025, the forum "Developing Green Destinations - Elevating Vietnamese Tourism" will take place on April 11 with the participation of 200-300 delegates.
The VITA plans to hold a ceremony on April 10 to honour outstanding businesses and individuals in the Vietnamese tourism industry in 2024. Meanwhile, localities, destinations, and businesses will organise various tourism promotion activities. Domestic and international art troupes will play during the event. Deputy Director of the Vietnam National Authority of Tourism Pham Van Thuy stated that activities at the fair will provide opportunities for businesses to meet and learn from each other to ensure sustainable tourism development.
In the context of Vietnam's tourism needing to transform rapidly in line with global tourism trends, a prestigious and large-scale event like VITM Hanoi 2025 will further enhance its position and contribute positively to the development of Vietnamese tourism, gradually making it a key economic sector of the country, he said./.
