Vietnam, Israel enhance defence ties

During his reception for Director-General of theIsraeli Ministry of Defence Dan Harel in Hanoi on March 2, MinisterThanh welcomed the Israeli defence delegation’s visit to Vietnam, sayingthat it will help step up the bilateral defence relations.

Hestressed that the Vietnam and Israel defence ties has seen increasingdevelopment in recent time, contributing to the maintenance of peace,stability, development and prosperity of both countries as well as theregion and the world.

For his part, Dan Harel stated thathe is delighted at recent development in the relations between the twonations, including defence link.

He informed the host of the outcomes of his talks with Deputy Defence Minister Nguyen Chi Vinh.

During the talks, the two officers discussed measures to furtherstrengthen defence partnership in the future, while comparing theirnotes on regional and global issues of common concern.

They signed a memorandum of understanding on bilateral defence cooperation after their talks.-VNA
