Quang Nam (VNA) – The visiting Settsu patrol ship of the Japan Coast Guard held a joint training session with ships of the Vietnam Coast Guard Region 2 Command in the central province of Quang Nam before leaving Da Nang, concluding a six-day friends♚hip visit to the country from February 13.
During the training session, officers and crew members of the Settsu, and the CSB 4037and CSB 6001 of the Vietnam Coast Guard Region 2 Command, exchanged experiences and implemented plans onsearch and rescue and fire prevention and fighting at sea. The Settsu began a six-day friendship visit to Vietnam on February 13. During the stay, the ship’screw members paid a courtesy call to leaders of the municipal People’s Committeeand engaged in exchange and training activities with soldiers and officers ofthe Vietnam Coast Guard Region 2 Command to enhance coordinationbetween the maritime law enforcement agencies of the two countries. The visit of Japan's Settu patrol ship is expected to further deepenthe good cooperation relationship between the Vietnam Coast Guard and the JapanCoast Guard, contributing to promoting security, safety and freedom of navigation forpeace, stability and development of the two countries as well as the region andthe world./.
The Vietnam Coast Guard has exerted great efforts to strengthen international cooperation in the fight against violations and crimes at sea, and actively expanded international cooperation with countries having strong law enforcement forces at sea and partners.
A delegation of Settsu patrol ship and Japan Coast Guard led by its Deputy Commander Maj. Gen Nagai Nobukazu visited and had an exchange with officers of the Vietnam Coast Guard Region 2 stationed in Nui Thanh district, the central province of Quang Nam on February 17.
