According to Chingay 2025 representatives, Vietnamese culture was showcased through unique performances and costumes, with a "shared love for culture and tradition" making the festival truly special.
On February 7-8, Chingay Parade 2025 took place at the F1 Pit Building under the theme "Joy," celebrating the connection between communities, generations, and cultures.
The Vietnamese community in Singapore participated with a special focus on culinary heritage, featuring popular dishes such as pho, banh mi, and rice paper, which are well-loved in Singapore.
A standout highlight was the incorporation of Vietnamese cuisine into costume designs, props, and performances, visually representing iconic food symbols like pho, banh mi, rice paper, and traditional carrying poles, offering a unique visual experience.
Organized annually by the People’s Association, this year's Chingay Parade featured a record-breaking 4,000 performers and 23 parade floats, drawing approximately 20,000 spectators over two nights.
Performers dazzled in food-themed and traditional ethnic costumes, while dynamic lion dancers, stilt walkers, and other vibrant acts made the parade a spectacular and ever-changing display.
PassionArts Street also displayed collaborative artworks by residents, students, and community artists, alongside various cultural activities./.
