Vietnam, Laos intensify cooperation in inspection work

Hanoi (VNA) – Vietnamese Government Inspector General Le Minh Khai andLao Deputy Prime Minister and Government Inspector General Bunthoong Chitmany haveshared experiences in steering and managing inspection affairs,  settling denunciations and complaints, and combatingcorruption.

At their talk in Hanoi on July26, both officials spoke highly of the results of cooperation between the twoGovernment Inspectorates, and agreed to further intensify friendship andcooperative ties in the time ahead.

They discussed measures toorganise training courses for Lao inspectors in 2018 and 2019.

Khai took the occasion to extendhis profound sympathy to the Lao Party, Government and people for the greatlosses caused by the recent dam collapse in Attapeu province.

He expressed his hope that theLao people will soon be able to stabilise their lives and recover production.

The Lao official thanked Vietnamfor its sympathy and assistance in addressing the consequences of the incident.

He expressed his belief that theeffective cooperation between the Government Inspectorates of Vietnam and Laoswill contribute to bolstering the traditional friendship, special solidarity,and comprehensive cooperation between the two countries.–VNA
