Vietnam, Laos share economic development experience

Bouasone Bouphavanh, head of theLao Party Central Committee's Commission for Economic Development Strategy Research, met withVuong Dinh Hue, head of the Communist Party of Vietnam’s CentralCommittee’s Economic Commission during his visit to Vietnam.

At the meeting, Hue shared Vietnam’s economic reform experience overthe past 30 years as well as introduced important issues concerningsocial-economic sectors which are intended to be submitted to theCommunist Party of Vietnam’s 12th Congress.

Huetouched upon important points in Vietnam’s future social-economicdevelopment strategy and economy restructuring policy as well ashighlights and lessons from Vietnam’s current social-economicdevelopment.

For his part, Bouasone Bouphavanhinformed Hue of the social-economic development situation in Laos andthe main points in the Political Report draft for the 10th Congressof the Lao People's Revolutionary Party.

The two sides also discussed the global and regional economic situation.

During its five-day visit, Bouasone Bouphavanh and his entourage willmeet with the Association of Vietnamese Investors in Laos.

They also had a working session with the Ho Chi Minh City’s PartyCommittee to learn from experiences in building social-economicdevelopment strategies and plans, attracting foreign investment capital,managing industrial and economic zones and structuring the city’seconomy.-VNA
