Hanoi (VNA) – The US National GeographicTraveller magazine has revealed the list of the best destinations for wintertrips, including Vietnam.
While Canadian rivers are freezing into winterskating tracks, Southeast Asia’s longest river, the Mekong, flows merrily alongpast arching palms and sunny floating houses, it said.
The Mekong connects six countriesfrom China to Vietnam, is second only to the Amazon in fishbiodiversity and is home to rare Irrawaddy dolphins and giant freshwaterstingrays.

The Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT) and the Vietnamese Embassy in Rome, Italy, held a tourism promotion programme in Milan and Rome from October 1-3.
