Vietnam nominated for six prizes at 2019 World Travel Awards

Vietnam has been nominated for six prestigious prizes at the 2019 World Travel Awards (WTA) which is scheduled to take place later this year, according to the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

– Vietnam has beennominated for six prestigious prizes at the 2019 World Travel Awards (WTA)which is scheduled to take place later this year, according to the VietnamNational Administration of Tourism under the Ministry of Culture, Sports andTourism.

Among the prizes, Vietnam as a country hasreceived nominations in the World’s Leading Destination, Culinary Destination,and Cultural Destination categories.

In addition, the capital city of Hanoi and theancient city of Hoi An have been selected to compete for the titles of World’sLeading City Destination and World’s Leading Cultural City Destination,respectively.

Furthermore, the Vietnam National Administrationof Tourism is in contention for the World’s Leading Tourist Board.

The award ceremony for the Asian region is slatedto be held in Vietnam’s Phu Quoc island in the southern province of Kien Giangon October 12, while the global event is set to get underway in Muscat, Oman inNovember.

The deadline for voting for Vietnam is October20 at the WTA’s website //www.worldtravelawards.com/vote.

First held in 1993, the annual WTA aims tohonour outstanding destinations and high-quality tourism service providers.

In 2018, Vietnam won the Asia’s LeadingDestination category./.
