Hanoi (VNA) - Vietnam has made the shortlist in 11 categories at theprestigious World Travel Awards (WTA) 2020.
Itwas nominated for awards in the Asian region for Leading CulinaryDestination, Leading Cultural Destination, Leading Destination, LeadingHeritage Destination, Leading Nature Destination, Leading River CruiseDestination, Leading Sustainable Tourism Destination, and Leading YouthTravel Destination.
Thecapital city of Hanoi was shortlisted as Asia’s Leading City Break Destination, whilethe ancient city of Hoi An in the central province of Quang Nam was nominatedin Asia’s Leading Cultural City Destination.
TheVietnam National Administration of Tourism is also in the running for the Asia’sLeading Tourist Board award.
The WTA isespecially calling for votes in the categories of Asia’s Leading City BreakDestination, Leading Culinary Destination, Leading Destination, and LeadingHeritage Destination.

Vietnam wasalso named Asia’s Leading Destination and Asia’s Leading CulturalDestination, while Hoi An won the title of Asia’s Leading Cultural CityDestination.
The countrywas then honoured as a World Leading Heritage Destination 2019 by the WTA atan awards ceremony in November in Oman./.
