Hanoi (VNA) 🔜- Vietnam has sent seven female martial artists to the World Karate Championships which opened in Linz, Austria, on October 25.

The event, which drew 2,000 athletes and coaches from 135 nations, will last until October 30.

♛ The competition is held in a different city every two years. It was initially riddled with controversy regarding karate stylists and the ruleset.

So far, Vietnam has won one gold and three silver medals in world events in which they took part.-VNA
