Hanoi (VNA) – The Vietnamese Embassy in Germany hosted a ceremony on December 22 to celebratethe 73rd founding anniversary of the Vietnam People’s Army.
In his speech, Ambassador Doan Xuan Hung applauded contributions from associationsand organisations of Vietnamese war veterans in Germany to promoting solidarityamong the Vietnamese community in the host country, and to the homeland’sdevelopment.
He expressed his hope that veterans in particular and their organisations ingeneral, under the strong support of the Vietnamese community in Germany, will makemore contributions to enhancing community connection in the host country in thecoming time.
The same day, Vietnamese Ambassador to Tanzania Nguyen Kim Doanh visited two membercompanies of the military-run telecomgroup Viettel in the country on the occasionof the anniversary.
The diplomat praised efforts made by the Viettel Tanzania (Halotel) to becomethe third largest mobile operator in the East Africa market, expressing hisbelief that the firm will work harder to turn it into a leading telecommunicationcompany in the country.
Success made by Halotel has significantly contributed to promote Vietnam’s imageto Tanzanian people and foreigners living and working in the country, hestressed.
At the Viettel Tanzania work company, the ambassador asked the firm to considerthe possibility to contract some construction projects in Tanzania, towards helpingthe host country build high-quality infrastructure.-VNA

During the negotiations, the US highly evaluated Vietnam’s goodwill and efforts, affirmed its appreciation for the bilateral relationship, acknowledged Vietnam’s proposals and concerns, and considered these an important basis for continuing discussions and moving towards a final agreement.
The Chairman stressed the need for stricter fiscal discipline, faster digital transformation, and more efficient management of State budget revenues and expenditures.
