Hanoi (VNA) – 🎉Vietnam has been promoted to Davis Cup, Asia/Oceania Zone Group II in 2019.
The Vietnamese team defeated Qatar 3-0 in the play-off match of Davis Cup, Asia/Oceania Zone Group III, which took place on April 7. Both Trinh Linh Giang and Ly Hoang Nam won 2-0 against their rivals in the two men’s singles matches. In the men’s doubles, Pham Minh Tuan and Le Quoc Khanh secured their victory after two sets.
Before the game, Vietnam topped Group A with three wins against Pacific Oceania, Cambodia and Malaysia. Qatar was the runners-up of Group B with two wins and one loss. Kuwait has also been promoted to Group II alongside Vietnam after beating Malaysia 2-0.-VNA
Nguyen Trong Nha Uyen has made history for Vietnam’s dancesport by clinching a bronze medal in the solo Latin category at the WDSF World Championship 2025 in Germany.
The ambassador noted that among the 300,000 Vietnamese residing in the RoK, around 3,000 are living in Pyeongtaek and contributing actively to the local economy. Ho expressed his hope that the local authorities will continue support the overseas Vietnamese community in the city.
