Jakarta (VNA) – The VietnameseEmbassy in Indonesia held a workshop on September 3 to promote Vietnam’stourism.
Nearly 100 Indonesian businesses participated inthe event.
Ambassador Pham Vinh Quang said Vietnam is oneof the most dynamic countries in Asia-Pacific with economic growth of 7 percentin 2018.
With political stability and dynamic economy,Vietnam has become a spotlight in Asia and the globe, he said.
With a population of over 90 million, thecountry is also an ideal destination for major groups and businesses in theworld to seek investment opportunities, he added.
In 2018, Vietnam’s tourism raked in 26.75billion USD in revenues and attracted over 15.6 million foreign visitors, whichis expected to increase to 20 million by 2020.
Representatives from the national flag carrierVietnam Airlines introduced promotion programmes for tourists and its new airroute from Ho Chi Minh City to Bali.
Vietnamese travel companies also providedinformation on popular destinations in Vietnam such as Da Nang, Ha Long Bay,Nha Trang, Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park, and Dong Van plateau.-VNA
