Vietnam qualified for 2025 FIVB Volleyball Women’s U21 World Championship
For the first time in the history, the Vietnamese women’s national volleyball team has been qualified for the 2025 FIVB Volleyball Women’s U21 World Championship after securing 5th place at the 2024 Asian Women’s 20 Volleyball Championship by defeating Chinese Taipei on July 8 in China.

Hanoi (VNA) 🌃– For the first time in the history, the Vietnamese women’s national volleyball team has been qualified for the 2025 FIVB Volleyball Women’s U21 World Championship after securing 5th place at the 2024 Asian Women’s 20 Volleyball Championship by defeating Chinese Taipei on July 8 in China.
Vietnam played one of their near-flawless performances to capture an exceptional straight-set 25-17, 25-19 and 25-15.
On July 7, Vietnam stunned Belgium 25-23, 23-25, 25-20, 25-17 to bag a bronze medal in the 2024 FIVB Women’s Volleyball Challenger Cup at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium in Manila, the Philippines.
It was the best result ever of the country at an event of the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB).
Vietnam eliminated the host Philippines 25-14, 25-21, 25-22 in the quarter-final, but lost 19-25, 14-25, 19-25 to the world No 16 Czech Republic in the semifinal.
The bronze medal made Vietnam the only Asian squad in the world podium and jump to No 32 in the world, the highest position ever for the team./.

With outstanding performance in 2023, the Vietnamese women’s volleyball and shooting teams scored triumphs at the Victory Cup Gala for the best players and coaches of the year, which was held by the Sports Authority of Vietnam, Vietnam Cable Television and Vietcontent in Hanoi on January 16.
