Vietnam ranks first at SEA Karatedo competition

Vietnam secured 12 gold, 4 silver and 9 bronze medals to rank first at the fourth Southeast Asia Karatedo championship which has wrapped up in Vientiane, Laos.

Thailand and Malaysia came in second and third, respectively.

The competition, running from April 3-5, attracted athletes from sevencountries in ASEAN including Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, Thailand,Myanmar, Indonesia, and Malaysia.

The Vietnamese competitors areprimarily young athletes (born in 1995-1996). The result in thecompetition is expected to promote Vietnamese martial arts and lead tofurther victories in the future.

Vietnam also finished firstat the third Southeast Asia Karatedo championship held in the MekongDelta city of Can Tho, Vietnam in 2014.-VNA

Vietnam take silver in AFF U19 Final

Despite strong home support and high expectations, Vietnam were unable to overcome the defending champions, who secured their third consecutive win over Vietnam in a regional final, following previous victories in 2014 and 2023.
