Vietnam ranks No 2 in ASEAN: FIFA

Vietnam has jumped to the No.2 position in the Southeast Asian region as per FIFA’s October ranking, which was released on October 20.

Hanoi (VNA) ꦇ- Vietnam has jumped to the No.2 position in the Southeast Asian region as per FIFA’s October ranking, which was released on October 20.

With 231 points, the Vietnamese squad is placed at No 136 in the world, five places higher than last month.
The top position among ASEAN member countries goes to the Philippines, who are world No 124. Thailand is third, down 11 places to No 146.
There is only one change in the world top 10, with former world and European champions Spain jumping to No 10, replacing Wales. Argentina maintains the No 1 position, followed by Germany and Brazil, both going up by one place. Belgium and Colombia are down to No 4 and No 5, respectively. Chile stays at No 6, while France is up one step at No 7, pushing European winner Portugal down to No 8.-VNA
