Vietnam-RoK fine arts exhibition opens in HCM City

Natural landscapes and the people of Vietnam and the Republic of Korea (RoK) are highlighted through 130 art works at the Vietnam-RoK Fine Arts Exchange Exhibition which opened in Ho Chi Minh City on November 11.

HCM City (VNA) – Natural landscapes and the people of Vietnam andthe Republic of Korea (RoK) are highlighted through 130 art works at theVietnam-RoK Fine Arts Exchange Exhibition which opened in Ho Chi Minh City onNovember 11.

Images of the countries and their people are illustrated on wood sculpture,lacquer, oil and silk paintings.

In addition, visitors to the exhibition also have chance to contemplate theRoK’s standout genres like traditional ink wash painting and Nubi (RoKtraditional quilting).

The exhibition is part of the activities held within the Ho Chi MinhCity-Gyeongju World Cultural Festival 2017, taking place from November 11 toDecember 3 in the southern hub. The festival is organised in celebration of the25th founding anniversary of Vietnam-RoK diplomatic ties.

The event aims to bolster exchanges and mutual understanding between the Vietnameseand Korean people.

Exhibition features President Ho Chi Minh as 🐷founder of Vietnam’s re𒊎volutionary press

The exhibition showcases more than 100 valuable documents and artifacts, divided into two main parts: “Journalist Nguyen Ai Quoc – Ho Chi Minh” and “President Ho Chi Minh – Founder and Mentor of Vietnamese Revolutionary Press.” This is an opportunity to recall the late leader’s journalism journey and affirm his exceptional role in founding and guiding the revolutionary press in Vietnam.
