Hanoi (VNA) - Chief Judge o༒f the Supreme People's Court Truong Hoa Binh suggested Vietnam and Russia further tighten their long-lasting friendship, and called fo🃏r Russia’s support at international forums.

During his reception for Russian Justice Minister Alexander Konovalov in Hanoi on November 20, Binh highlighted the fine development of the relations between the two countries and their judicial sector, affirming that this has helped deepen the Vietnam-Russia Comprehensive Strategic Cooperation.
The two sides shared experience in the fields of law-making and justice. The host briefed the guest on Vietnam’s judicial reform, stressing that it brought important changes to the country’s court system.
Vietnam promulgated the 2013 Constitution, which was revised on the basis of the 1992 version, Binh cited, adding that the Vietnamese National Assembly adopted the 2014 Law on the Organisation of People’s Courts to concretise the Constitution. Konovalov praised recent achievements made by Vietnam in its judicial reform process, affirming that his country is willing to share its experience with and provide materials for Vietnam in the field, especially those related to the Civil Code and the Code of Civil Procedures. The Russian minister is on a three-day working visit to Vietnam starting from November 19, with a view to promoting judicial links between the two countries.-VNA
