Minister of Public Security General Tran Dai Quang made the remark at a reception for Permanent Secretary of the Singapore Ministry of Home Affairs Leo Yip in Hanoi on November 9.
He expressed his pleasure at the cooperation between the two ministries over the past decade, as seen in the exchange of high-level delegations, affiliation in law enforcement and crime prevention, personnel training, fire prevention and fighting, and search and rescue activities.
The minister highly valued the outcomes of the 8th conference at permanent deputy ministerial level between the two ministries which was held earlier in Hanoi.
Permanent Secretary Leo Yip described the conference and the third friendly sports exchange of the two ministries as practical activities to celebrate major events of the two countries in 2015 and further tighten the friendship and cooperation between the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security and the Singaporean Ministry of Home Affairs.
At the 8th conference at permanent deputy ministerial level between the two ministries, Permanent Deputy Minister of Public Security Dang Van Hieu and Leo Yip signed a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation between the two ministries in the coming time.-VNA
