Vietnam to be hit with severe hot weather

Hot weather will hit northern Vietnam from May 20, according to the National Centre for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting.

Hanoi (VNA) - Hot weather will hit northern Vietnam from May 20, accordingto the National Centre for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting.

Temperatureswill hit 34-37 degrees Celsius and even more than 38 degrees Celsius in someplaces.

Thecentral region will have temperatures of 39 degree Celsius, and 40-41 degreeCelsius in mountainous areas.

Thehot weather is set to last until the end of the week.

FromMay 20, Hanoi will have high temperatures at about 35-38 degreeCelsius.

OnMay 20, the ultraviolet in Hanoi, Da Nang and HCM City is forecast toreach high level, seriously affecting people’s health.

Thereis a high risk of forest fires in central areas due to the hot weather.

Southernareas will also have high temperatures of about 34-37 degree Celsius./.
