Vietnam to host Asia Men’s Club Volleyball Championship

Vietnam will host the Asian Men’s Club Volleyball Championship from June 28 to July 6 in the northern provinces of Nam Dinh and Ninh Binh, which draws 13 top teams in Asia, according to the Vietnam Sports Administration.

Hanoi (VNA) – Vietnam will host the Asian Men’sClub Volleyball Championship from June 28 to July 6 in the northern provincesof Nam Dinh and Ninh Binh, which draws 13 top teams in Asia, according to theVietnam Sports Administration.

At a press conference on June 15, Vice General Director ofthe administration Tran Duc Phan said that this is the first time the VietnamVolleyball Federation has organised the event, which is expected to beinteresting with the competitions of strongest teams in the region.

The teams and clubs are Canberra Heat from Australia, ChinaBeijing Baic Motor from China, Yan Chai from Hong Kong (China), Sarmayeh Bank fromIran, Al-Bahri from Iraq, Toyota Gosei Trefuerza from Japan, Altay fromKazakhstan, Al-Arabi from Qatar, the teams of Srilanka, Maldives and Taiwan(China), Air Force from Thailand, and the Vietnamese team.

The winner willrepresent Asia to compete at the 2018 World Volleyball Men’s WorldChampionship.-VNA
