Hanoi (VNA)𒀰 - The first ever international junior golf tournament, Vietnam Junior Golf Open 2016, is scheduled to kick off on July 21 at the Bluffs Ho Tram Strip golf course in the southern province of Ba Ria-Vung Tau.

The contest, held in cooperation between the Vietnam Golf Association (VGA) and the Bluffs Ho Tram Strip, aims to honour talented young golfers.
Asian Tour’s representatives said they will support the VGA in organising the event by sending their four ambassadors to Vietnam to assist young golfers.
The VGA expects to attract the best Vietnamese junior golfers and golfers from 39 countries of the Asia-Pacific region to participate in the event which will run until July 24. The tournament will enable Vietnamese golfers to compete with the best golfers in the region. The event’s five best players will be selected to compete at the final round of the Asia Faldo Series scheduled to be held in Vietnam in March next year, after 10 years in China.-VNA
