Vietnam to try best in final Women's World Cup match: head coach
Vietnam will not give up its efforts in their third and also final group match at the ongoing FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023 against the current runners-up, the Netherlands on August 1 in New Zealand, head coach Mai Duc Chung told a press conference on July 31.

Hanoi (VNA) – Vietnam will not give up its efforts in their third andalso final group match at the ongoing FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023 against the currentrunners-up, the Netherlands on August 1 in New Zealand, head coach Mai Duc Chungtold a press conference on July 31.
Chung acknowledged that this match is not simple because theNetherlands want to win big to advance to the next round.
At present, both the US and the Netherlands have fourpoints, while Portugal have three points.
Earlier, the Vietnamese team lost 0-3 to the reigning worldchampions US on July 22 and was defeated 0-2 by Portugal on July 27.

The world media on July 22 ran articles appreciating Vietnam’s performance in their first match at the ongoing FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023, although they lost 0-3 to the reigning US champions.
The July 22 game between Vietnam and the US during the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023 in New Zealand drew 6.26 million viewers, making it the most-watched football telecast in the US since last year’s men’s World Cup final, according to Fox Sports.
The 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup is the first time the Vietnam women’s national football team has qualified for the biggest football tournament on the planet. It is a good opportunity to introduce the players, the country and the people of Vietnam to the world.
The ambassador noted that among the 300,000 Vietnamese residing in the RoK, around 3,000 are living in Pyeongtaek and contributing actively to the local economy. Ho expressed his hope that the local authorities will continue support the overseas Vietnamese community in the city.
This is the first time since the adoption of the Convention that a country has served two consecutive terms on the Committee.
