Kiev (VNA) –🏅 VietnameseAmbassador to Ukraine Nguyen Anh Tuan and Youth and Sports Minister of UkraineIgor Zhdanov signed an agreement on sports cooperation in Kiev on January 16.

The signing of the agreement tookplace on the 26th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Vietnam andUkraine. It aims to promote the bilateral relations after the success of the 14thmeeting Vietnamese-Ukrainian Intergovernmental Commission in October 2017. Ambassador Nguyen Anh Tuan said theagreement is expected to meet the demand of the two countries, in line with thepolicy to bolster their comprehensive cooperation. The diplomat expressed hishope that the bilateral cooperation will continue to thrive in the future. For his part, the Ukrainian Youth andSports Minister said the cooperation agreement marked an important milestone inthe bilateral relations development, creating necessary legal framework tobolster sports cooperation of the two countries. He believed that the cooperationwill allow Vietnam and Ukraine to obtain higher results in sports and also pavesthe way for new opportunities and cooperation of the two nations’ athletes andsport federations. On the occasion, Zhdanov invitedVietnamese athletes to attend training course at his country’ sports facilitiesand pledged to create favourable conditions for them.-VNA

🅰 Vietnam re-elected to 2005 UNESCO Convention’s Intergovernmental Committee
