Hanoi (VNA) - Vietnamsecured one silver medal on the last day of the Asian Canoe SprintChampionships on October 18 in Shanghai, China.

The world junior championTruong Thi Phuong finished second in the women’s C1 500m event with a time oftwo minutes, 10.04sec.

Earlier, Truong Thi Phuong, Le Chung Thu, TranThi Lan and Nguyen Thi Ngan came third in the women’s K4 200m with a time of45.13sec.

Phuong and Ngan, as a pair, then secured third place in thewomen’s K2 500m event, timing 2min 3.01 sec.

The three-day competitionsaw Kazakhstan come out on top with 15 gold medals. The hosts China took second with ninetitles.-VNA
