Vietnamese, Chinese localities enhance cooperation

Secretary of the Ha Quang Party CommitteeLe Hai Yen said that over the past years, the two committees have intensifiedcollaboration in various fields and gained substantive results.
In the coming time, Ha Quang hopes topromote cooperation and exchanges in all spheres with Napo county, includingorganising regular meetings and cultural exchanges, strengthening cross-borderdisease prevention and control, and continuing to disseminate and wellimplement documents on the Vietnam - China land border.
Secretary of the Napo Party Committee PanFulin affirmed the results achieved in cooperation between the two localitieshave contributed to building a China-Vietnam border of peace, friendship, andstability for economic development.
The official proposed measures to promote cooperationin culture, tourism, import and export, and agricultural development; and to continue expanding people-to-people diplomacy activities.

The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism in the northern border province of Lang Son has recently organised an art exchange programme with the participation of local artists and those from Pingxiang county in China's Guangxi.
A talk exchanging information on disease prevention and control, and healthcare activities between delegations of the Department of Health of Vietnam's Cao Bang province and the Health Commission of China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region was organised in Cao Bang city on March 5.

During the negotiations, the US highly evaluated Vietnam’s goodwill and efforts, affirmed its appreciation for the bilateral relationship, acknowledged Vietnam’s proposals and concerns, and considered these an important basis for continuing discussions and moving towards a final agreement.
