VUFO President Vu Xuan Hong and ICAP Chairman Kenia Seeanno Puigsigned the deal in a ceremony in Hanoi on April 8 in the presence ofCuban Ambassador Herminio Lopez Diaz and Vice President of theVietnam-Cuba Friendship Association Nguyen Duy Cuong.
The agreement highlights the support to the Cuban people in theirstruggle against the US blockade and embargo, joint efforts inorganising national occasions and other important events of eachcountry, the attention to students and alumni studying and working ineach country, as well as exchanges of information and delegations.
According to Hong, the agreement is the first of its kind betweenpeople’s organisations reached after Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung’srecent Cuba visit.
The document reaffirms thecoordination mechanisms between the two organisations and theirdetermination to continue working to consolidate the friendship andsolidarity between the two nations and peoples.-VNA
