The delegation, led byDeputy Chief of Mission Nguyen Tien Minh, was received and guided byRear Admiral Michelle Howard, Commander of Expeditionary Strike GroupTwo, and Captain DeWolfe Miller, commanding officer.
Speaking at the reception, Rear Admiral Howard said Vietnam and theUS were maritime nations, and because of that they had "common goalsand common interests"./.
