Vietnamese embassies in Thailand, Cambodia celebrate National Day
The Vietnamese embassies in Thailand and Cambodia on August 30 held separate ceremonies to celebrate the 78th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19) and the National Day (September 2).

Bangkok (VNA) – The Vietnamese embassies in Thailand and Cambodia on August 30 held sepa༺rateceremonies to celebrate the 78th anniversary of the August Revolution (August19) and the Nat🦄ional Day (September 2).
Speaking at the event heldin Bangkok, Ambassador Phan Chi Thanh said that for thelast 78 years, Vietnam has kept promoting peace and cooperation in Asia as wellas in the world, being a reliable partner and responsible member in the globalcommunity.
Vietnam is willing to join efforts in addressing global issues toward inclusive sustainable development andhumanities.
Thanh emphasised thatVietnam is now one of the most dynamic anꩲd open emerging economies in EastAsia, and an investment hub in the region. Meanwhile, Thailand is aparticularly important friend and parღtner of Vietnam.
He said this year marksthe 10th anniversary of the establishment of the two countries’ strategicpartnership and the 47th anniversary of the establishment of their diplomaticrelations.
Their bilateral relationsand multifaceted cooperation have also grown stronger than ever, the ambassadorsaid, affirming that this is a valuable asset that both sides should cherish andnurture together.
Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of ForeignAffairs of Thailand Sarun Charoensuwan affirmed that over thepast four decades, the relationship between Thailand and Vietnam has beenstronger and stronger and bringing m🌠utual benefits to both.
Sarun also highlyappreciated the Vietnamese-Thai community for making positive contributions topromoting social development in the local community, serving as a bridgelinking the two economies.

Meanwhile, at a ceremonyheld in Phnom Penh, Ambassador Nguyen Huy Tang reviewed major milestones in Vietnam’s history and its achievements during its national defence and development.
Vietnam has alwayssteadfastly adhered to independꦦence, self-reliance, peace, friendship,cooperation and development, diversification, multilateralisation, and deepintegration into the region and the world. It has also activelyworked with other ASEAN member countries to build a harmonious and prosperous ASEAN Community.
Regarding the relationshipwith Cambodia, Tang emphasised that the two countries have been side-by-side overcominghardships to gain independence; build, protect, and develop the country.
Deputy Prime Minister andMinister of Foreign Affairs ๊and International Cooperation Sok Chenda Sophea, onbehalf of the Royal Government of Cambodia, praised thesacrifice and determination of the Vietnamese people in the struggle forindependence and reconstruction of the country under the clear-sighted leadership andstrategic vision of the Communist Party of Vietnam.
He affirmed that Cambodiaand Vietnam will continue to promote relations in all fields and atall levels, based on solidarity, mutual trust and understanding./.
A get-together has been held in Budapest to celebrate the National Day of Vietnam (September 2) and Hungary (August 20), drawing 150 delegates from Hungary and Vietnam.
The Overseas Vietnamese Association in Macau, China held a ceremony on August 27 celebrating the 78th anniversary of August Revolution (August 19) and the National Day (September 2).

During the negotiations, the US highly evaluated Vietnam’s goodwill and efforts, affirmed its appreciation for the bilateral relationship, acknowledged Vietnam’s proposals and concerns, and considered these an important basis for continuing discussions and moving towards a final agreement.
The Chairman stressed the need for stricter fiscal discipline, faster digital transformation, and more efficient management of State budget revenues and expenditures.
