The Asian Culture House of an overseas Vietnamese has been inauguratedin Buenos Aires, aiming at promoting exchanges of culture, trade, andeducation between Asian communities and Argentina.

At the ceremony on July 24, Argentina’s First Deputy Foreign MinisterEduardo Zuain highlighted the government’s policy to expand all-aroundcooperation with Asian nations within the South-South partnershipframework.
He underlined Asia’s potential and called forstronger cooperation in different channels, including people-to-peoplediplomacy in bid to fully tap the potential and further tightenfriendship.

The Deputy Minister also affirmedthe support the host government will provide for the activities held bythe House in the future.

Pham Lien, executivemanager of the House, said the house is expected to bring togetherpeople from different cultures closer for the common wealth of thenations.

Meanwhile, Vietnamese Ambassador toArgentina Nguyen Dinh Thao hailed the contributions the overseasVietnamese community has made to fostering cooperation between the twocountries.

He expressed the support for theinitiative as well as other activities conducted by the community tobetter integrate into the local society.

Heaffirmed that the Party and the State always consider overseasVietnamese community as an indispensible part of the nation.-VNA

This is the first time since the adoption of the Convention that a country has served two consecutive terms on the Committee.
