Hanoi (VNA) - The Consular Department under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs iscoordinating with the Vietnamese Embassy in Beijing and Consulate General in China’sGuangzhou province to deploy citizen protection measures for a Vietnamesefisherman rescued at sea by Chinese authorities.
Nguyen Quoc Han,a fisherman of QNg 95806 TS fishing vessel from Vietnam’s central province ofQuang Ngai, was heavily wounded while diving on January 20. He was providedwith emergency aid and surgery by Chinese relevant agencies, and survivedcritical conditions.
Vietnam’sConsulate General in Guangzhou province sent representatives to visit thefisherman on January 29.
They thanked Chinesecompetent agencies for their help and requested the Chinese side to continueassisting the fisherman.
The VietnameseEmbassy in Beijing and the Consulate General in Guangzhou will implementnecessary procedures to bring Han home when he recovers his health.-VNA
