Hanoi (VNA) – Outstandingcontemporary paintings by Vietnamese and Hungarian artists are being showcasedat an exhibition that opened in Hanoion November 23.
“The languageof the images: Hungarian-Vietnamese Contemporary Exhibition” is jointly held bythe Vietnam National Museum of Fine Arts and the Hungarian Embassy in Vietnamon the occasion of the Vietnamese Cultural Heritage Day.
In hisopening remarks, Hungarian Ambassador Ory Csaba highlighted the strongdevelopment of political, economic and cultural ties between Vietnam and Hungary since the two countries setup diplomatic ties nearly 70 years ago.
The twosides have organised various cultural activities, he said, noting that Hungary will open a culture and community centrein Hanoi and plans to build a “little Budapest” in the city.
With 28works by 12 Hungarian painters and 31 others by ten Vietnamese artists, theexhibition, to last until December 2, has captured culture, life and people ofboth countries.
Nguyen AnhMinh, Director of the Vietnam National Museum of Fine Arts, said the exhibitiondemonstrates cooperation and friendship between Vietnam and Hungary and thatbetween the museum and the Hungarian Embassy, and offers an opportunity forartists and art lovers of the two countries to engage in exchanges.
After Hanoi, the exhibition is scheduled to come to Ho Chi Minh City from December 19 and Hungary’s capital city of Budapest in 2020.-VNA

The exhibition showcases more than 100 valuable documents and artifacts, divided into two main parts: “Journalist Nguyen Ai Quoc – Ho Chi Minh” and “President Ho Chi Minh – Founder and Mentor of Vietnamese Revolutionary Press.” This is an opportunity to recall the late leader’s journalism journey and affirm his exceptional role in founding and guiding the revolutionary press in Vietnam.
For the first time, the World DanceSport Federation (WDSF) has granted Vietnam hosting rights for the two championships, including the Asian women’s solo category, which debuts this year as an officially recognised event.

Coming to the Vietnamese booth, visitors had the chance to take part in a bamboo dance, a workshop on painting woven bamboo or rattan, or quizzes about Vietnam.
