Vietnamese martial artist wins gold at Bangkok tournament

Vietnamese martial artist Nguyen Tran Duy Nhat has won a gold medal at the ongoing World Martial Arts Council Games 2015 in Bangkok, Thailand.

Nhat defeated three competitors from Uzbekistan,Thailand and Italy to win the gold medal in the men's 60kg category inMuay Boran.

Earlier, Vietnam pocketed four gold and three silver medals in this event, and one silver and two bronze medals in kickboxing.

Pencak silat fighters also won three gold, three silver and three bronze medals.

Vietnam is competing in six out of 10 martial arts events at the Bangkok tournament.

Competitors from 50 countries are participating in the first-ever World Martial Arts Council Games that will end on March 22.-VNA
