Vietnamese photographer wins ASEAN SX Photo Contest

Vietnamese photographer Ho Trung Lam has won the Grand Prize at the ASEAN SX Photo Contest 2024 which was held in Bangkok in Thailand.

Hanoi (VNA) – Vietnamese photographer Ho Trung Lam has won the Grand Prize at the ASEAN SX Photo Contest 2024 which was held in Bangkok in Thailand.

Accordingly, through his outstanding work “Suc song thien nhien giua long pho bien” (Natural vitality in the heart of the coastal city), Lam brought home the highest prize of the competition and pocketed 2,860 USD in the process, Radio the Voice of Vietnam (VOV) reported.

The competition ran with the theme of “ASEAN Biodiversity” and attracted the participation of photographers from 10 ASEAN countries such as Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam, with all entries being judged by an international panel of renowned photographers.

Established by the Thai Beverage Public Company in collaboration with the Royal Photographic Society of Thailand (RPST), the ASEAN SX Photo Contest aims to socially and environmentally inspire people from ASEAN countries to live sustainably, bring balance to their lives, and create a better world.

All of the winning photos will be exhibited from September 27 to October 6 at SUSTAINABILITY EXPO 2024, the largest sustainability EXPO in ASEAN, located at Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre (QSNCC) in Bangkok in Thailand.

Born in Nha Trang city in the southcentral coastal province of Khanh Hoa, Lam has taught literature at Tran Hung Dao High School in Cam Ranh City for 13 years. He is currently working at the Nha Trang city’s Department of Education and Training and is also a member of the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists.

✅ The Vietnamese photographer also won a number of prizes, including gold prizes at the ninth Taichung 2020 International Exhibition of Photography and Magic Dof 2022./.
