Vietnamese player ranks among Asia’s top 15 footballers
Vietnamese national football team’s player Nguyen Quang Hai has been named one of the top 15 best footballers in Asia in 2018 following a vote by Fox Sports Asia and Titan Sports.
Hanoi (VNA) – Vietnamese national football team’s player Nguyen Quang Haihas been named one of the top 15 best footballers in Asia in 2018 following avote by Fox Sports Asia and Titan Sports.
Theaward, which is considered as the Asian version of the Ballon d’Or, was firstorganised in 2013.
Haiwas earlier ranked among 24 finalists for the prize. Hai, who placed 15th with 13 points, player a major part in Vietnam’s run to the final of the AFCU23 Championship in January 2018 and continued his brilliant performancesthroughout the year.
Hewon the Most Valuable Player (MVP) award as Vietnam secured the AFF Suzuki Cup2018 for the second time in December.
Haiis the first Vietnamese player listed as a finalist for the award.
Meanwhile,Tottenham and Korean star Son Heung-min was announced as the winner with 206points. It was the fourth time he has won the prestigious award.
