From June 4-13, the Hanoi Promotion Centre on Trade, Investment and Tourism, relevant agencies and 25 firms will introduce Vietnamese handicraft and fineart articles, agricultural products, food and Hanoi’s tourist attractions atAeon Lake Town in Saitama prefecture and 40 other Aeon stores across Japan.

They will work to bolster trade connections and seek measures to bringVietnamese agricultural products into Japanese distributing channels.

Local firms will have opportunity to learn about the tastes of Japaneseconsumers to aid their sales.

The “Vietnam-Hanoi Goods Week” is an annual event which combines culturalexchange and import-export promotion between the two nations.

Although Japan is the fifth largest importer of Vietnam’s agriculturalproducts, only three kinds of Vietnamese fresh fruits, namely banana, mango anddragon fruits, are sold in the country.

Aeon supermarkets in Japan have put severalVietnamese agricultural products on their shelves, including some types offruit and tra fish. Tra fish sold at Aeon stores is listed among the chain’s “TopValu”products which are goods with leading quality.-VNA
