Hanoi (VNA) – Reporters from several member states of the International Organisationof the Francophonie (IOF), including Vietnam, have a chance to experiencethe 2018 Winter Olympics taking place in Gangneung (which will host the indoorevents), the Republic of Korea from February 9-25.
The pressdelegation also includes French-language journalists from Cambodia, Senegal andNew Caledonia, which are members of the IOF’s Regional Bureaufor Asia and the Pacific (BRAP).
IOF SecretaryGeneral Michaelle Jean noted the significance of French language to the OlympicsGames’ history, as one of the two official languages of the event.
She welcomed thepress delegation, saying the Francophonie community is a strategic partner ofthe Games.
