Hanoi (VNA) - The first-ever auto-racing circus to meet interౠnational standards will open soon in the southern province of Long An.
The site will host its first auto-racing event, the Rally Happyland - Long An, on April 30. One hundred racers will compete at the event.
Nguyen Huu Viet, an official from the Khang Thong Joint Stock Corporation and an investor in the site, said, with a total area of more than 130,000sq.m., the circus can seat an audience of 25,000 and is expected to receive 14 million visitors per year.
The site can host 12 racing genres, including bicycle, motor, ARV and rally racing. There is a sports complex for adults and children above five years old.
The complex can also host performance shows.-VNA
A cross-border bicycle race named “Mekong Tour 2009” will be held from October 11-25 with the participation of host Vietnam and other regional countries.
A traditional bicycle race to welcome the New Year 2014 was held in Ho Chi Minh City on December 29 with the participation of 23 teams from eight provinces.
The second international off-road bike race, Vietnam Victory Challenge 2016, ended in Da Lat city in the Central Highlands province of Lam Dong on March 13.

The U23 competition will run from June 16 to 22, followed by the U17 event from June 23 to 28, while athletes competing in the U23 category will undergo weight and skill checks ahead of the matches starting June 18, while similar checks for U17 athletes will take place before June 23.
