Vietnam’s golf tourism promoted in India

The Vietnamese Embassy in India on December 28 held a golf tourney at the Delhi Golf Club’s course to promote the image of Vietnam in general and the country’s golf tourism in particular.

New Delhi (VNA) – The Vietnamese Embassy in India on December 28held a golf tourney at the Delhi Golf Club’s course to promote the image ofVietnam in general and the country’s golf tourism in particular.

The event gathered 50golfers, who are politicians, ambassadors of ASEAN member states, Indianfriends, and the Vietnamese embassy staff.

In his openingremarks, Vietnamese Ambassador Pham Sanh Chau said that the tourney aimed topromote Vietnam as a destination for golfers, thus helping introduce Vietnameseland and people to golfers and Indian friends.

The embassy willinvest in organising the tourney annually to have pervasive effects, as manyIndian people and even politicians in the country’s states do not know muchabout Vietnam, and its golf tourism, he added

At the awardingceremony, golfers had a chance to taste Vietnam’s traditional dishes such aspho (Vietnamese signature noodle soup) and nem (spring rolls). The prizesmainly included the country’s specialties like coffee, tea and conical hat.

The tourney was also expected to promote Vietnam’s cuisine and culture and seekopportunities to boost trade and investment in the country.-VNA
