Hanoi (VNA) –𝔉 Vietnamese electric vehicle (EV) maker VinFast sold 11,479 EVs in July in the domestic market, raising its year-to-date total to 79,048 units.
This marks the third consecutive month the company has sold more than 11,000 units, reinforcing its position as Vietnam’s top-selling automaker for 10 months in a row.
The sustained sales performance reflects the growing momentum of the green mobility trend among Vietnamese consumers.
In July, the VF 3 model continued to lead VinFast’s lineup with 3,140 units delivered to customers, bringing the model’s total sales since the start of the year to 26,223, making it the most popular EV in Vietnam.
Ranked second, the VF 5 remained a favourite among individual customers with 2,552 units sold in July and a year-to-date total of 24,364. The Herio Green – an optimised version of the VF 5 tailored for ride-hailing and commercial services – also posted robust sales of 2,128 units during the month.
The VF 6, a B-segment SUV, secured the fourth spot with 1,902 units sold in July, lifting its year-to-date sales to 10,454 and retaining its crown as the best-selling B-SUV in Vietnam. Meanwhile, the C-SUV VF 7 recorded 795 units sold, bringing its total to 4,381, confirming its popularity in its segment.
Other models such as the VF 8, VF 9, and VF e34/Nerio Green also saw positive sales, with the VF 8 alone selling 319 units in July for a cumulative total of 1,945 this year.
Duong Thi Thu Trang, Deputy CEO of Global Sales at VinFast, said the three-month streak above 11,000 units demonstrates the strong appeal of VinFast EVs and the accelerating green transition in Vietnam.
In August, VinFast began deliveries of the eagerly awaited Limo Green, expanding its product portfolio. To encourage nationwide adoption of EVs, the company and its partners are rolling out a campaign that supports drivers to replace gasoline vehicles with EVs in multiple provinces, offering special incentives in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, and An Giang – pioneers in Vietnam’s green mobility shift./.
