Sydney (VNA) – The Vietnamese Trade Office inAustralia is running a series of virtual exhibitions displaying key products ofVietnam between December 10 and 31 in a bid to boost exports next year.

The sourcing expos feature 350 stalls showcasing a range ofgoods classified into different sectors such as garment-textile, footwear, farm produce, seafood, and woodworkproducts.

The event will continue in January next year on thewebsite www.vietnamsourcingexpo.com.

A representative of the trade office said as the pandemic affects supply activities, the application of IT serving trade promotion willhelp ease travel barriers and support Vietnamese and Australian firms inexpanding their partnership and networking.

According to the General Department of Vietnam Customs, inthe first 11 months of 2021, trade between Vietnam and Australia neared 11.18billion USD, up 50.23 percent year-on-year. Of the sum, the value of Vietnam’s shipmentsto Australia exceeded 3.97 billion USD, with growth recorded for many keyexport earners such as apparel, footwear, aquatic products, farm produce, andrice.

The trade office has promoted many frozen agriculturalproducts of Vietnam, like durian, coconuts, dracontomelon, and ginger, with positive feedback from Australian consumers./.
