HCM City (VNS/VNA) - The Vietnam-Australia boxingfriendly event, Victory 8, is scheduled to take place on November 3 in HCMCity’s Nguyen Du Gymnasium.
Fans will have the chance to behold outstanding namesof Australia such as Mateo Tapia, Gretchen Abaniel and MichaelPengue as well as Vietnam’s luminaries including Truong Dinh Hoang, Nguyen ThiTam and Nguyen Van Duong.
The event aims to create a chance for boxers to exchange with each other andhelp the Vietnamese boxing community organise professional boxing tournamentsin the near future.
The event has a total prize of 400 million VND (17,400 USD). It is co-organisedby the Vietnam Sports Platform (VSP), Vietnam Boxing Federation and themunicipal Department of Culture and Sports.-VNS/VNA
The 15th round of the annual dialogue on human rights between Vietnam and Australia took place in Hanoi on August 28 in the spirit of frankness, constructiveness and mutual respect.

The U23 competition will run from June 16 to 22, followed by the U17 event from June 23 to 28, while athletes competing in the U23 category will undergo weight and skill checks ahead of the matches starting June 18, while similar checks for U17 athletes will take place before June 23.
Vietnam continues to sit just behind continental powerhouses Japan, the Republic of Korea, Australia, China, and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK).
