Vietnamese Minister of Justice Ha Hung Cuong and his Cambodiancounterpart Ang Vong Vathana signed a civil judicial assistanceagreement between the two countries in Hanoi on January 21.
The document defines all civil judicial assistance regulations and procedures between Vietnam and Cambodia .
It will create a legal basis for the two judicial bodies to supporteach other in arising disputes and legal issues, ensuring the rights andinterests of individuals, organisations and businesses that operate inthe other country.
At the event, the two ministersinformed each other of their country’s socio-economic developments andthe current condition of law and judicial reforms. They also discussedissues of mutual concern, including law building and enforcement.
During his stay in Vietnam from January 21-22, the Cambodian ministerwill visit the Vietnam Supreme People’s Procuracy, the Vietnam SupremePeople’s Court and work with the Judicial Institute and the CentralSteering Committee for Judicial Reform./. VNA
