VN transport ministry delegation visits Laos

At the meeting with Lao Prime Minister Thongsing Thammavong, MinisterThang congratulated the Lao leader on being elected as Prime Minister,expressing a belief that Thongsing will continue to promote and nurturethe special relationship and comprehensive cooperation between the twocountries.

The Minister informed the Lao PrimeMinister about recent cooperative results from the two countries’transport sector, saying that Vietnam and Laos will cooperatefurther in several fields and also celebrate the 50 th anniversary ofdiplomatic ties between the two countries.

Thongsing applauded the delegation’s visit, expressing his gratitude forthe support of the Vietnamese Party and State and Ministry of Transportto Laos , to help the country build infrastructure, contributing toeconomic development and integration.

He expressedhis hope that the Vietnamese Ministry of Transport will assist Laosto complete unfinished projects being carried out by the Ministry in thecountry.

In the framework of the visit, MinisterThang also held talks with Lao Minister of Public Works and TransportSommad Pholsena. At the talks, the two leaders reviewed recentcooperative results.

The two ministers agreed thatthe two sides will increase exchange of delegations in order to promoteresearch and experience sharing in all fields.

Theywill also cooperate closely at multilateral and regional forums, withthe aims of strengthening the special friendship and comprehensivecooperation between the two countries./.
