Hanoi (VNA) - Vietnamese Grandmaster Vo Thi Kim Phung has 5.5points after seven games to rank 20th out of 175 chess playersat the ongoing London Classic FIDE Open in England.

Withan Elo rating of 2,381, Phung is No 61 seed at the event which attracted manyoutstanding players in the world such as Grandmaster Tamir Nabaty ofIsrael (Elo 2,661) and Eduardo Patricio Iturrizaga Bonelli of Venezuela (Elo2,665).

The24-year-old Phung has four wins and three draws.

Shebeat Fodor Tamas Jr ofHungary in the sixth match and tied with Le Roux Jean-Pierre of France in theseventh game.

In the next round, she will meet Moussard Jules of France.

Melkumyan Hrant of Armenia leads with 6.5 points and Nabaty of Israelis second with six points.-VNA

𓂃 Vietnam re-elected to 2005 UNESCO Convention’s Intergovernmental Committee
