Hanoi (VNA) - The Vietnam National of Administration Tourism (VNAT) has issued documents to warn domestic travel companies of security instability in Egypt.

The VNAT previously received an official dispatch from the Consular Department under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on consecutive terror bombings at famous tourist attractions in Egypt, including the Giza pyramid complex, centre of Cairo capital city, and Arish in North Sinai, causing security instability in the country.

To ensure safety for Vietnamese tourists travelling abroad, the VNAT instructed travel companies to consider the organisation of tours to Egypt in the current time to avoid unfortunate incidents.

In addition, companies were recommended to provide names, contact information and sight-seeing schedule of Vietnamese tourists to the Embassy of Vietnam in Egypt to receive support in necessary cases.

Earlier, the VNAT warned Vietnamese tourists against bringing pork products when travelling to Taiwan.

As the African swine fever hitting Vietnam’s northern region, tourists carrying pork products will be detained and subjected to a fine of up to 200,000 TWD (6,470 USD). If failing to pay the fine, their access to the country will be denied.-VNA
