Hanoi (VNA) 𝓰– Minister of Natural Resources and Environment Tran Hong Ha has signed a decision approving an inspection plan targeting waste-charging facilities nationwide, which is scheduled to start in early August.

The inspection drive aims to comprehensively assess the State management in the protection of environment and water resources, thereby proposing changes to relevant legal regulations and timely preventing violations in environment protection.
It is also expected to strengthen coordination among centrally-run agencies and localities in preventing and dealing with waste discharge behaviours. In the foreseeable future, the minister plans to establish three inspection groups targeting production facilities which discharge at least 500cu.m per day in the provinces of Bac Giang, Bac Ninh, Cao Bang, Ha Giang, Ha Nam, Lao Cai, Lang Son, Phu Tho, Son La, Tuyen Quang, Dak Nong, Gia Lai, Ha Tinh, Kon Tum, Lam Dong, Quang Binh, Thanh Hoa, An Giang, Ben Tre, Ca Mau, Soc Trang, Tay Ninh and Vinh Long.
Production and trading facilities that let out 200cu.m per day will be listed for inspection next year. The inspection result will be submitted to the ministry no later than 15 days since the drive ends. A general report will be completed in late October and a press conference is also scheduled to announce the outcomes of the drive.-VNA
