Vietnam’s National Wrestling Championship 2015 opened on March 25 at theBac Giang Province Sports Gymnasium, with 178 wrestlers set to compete.
Athletes from 16 provinces and cities willgrapple for 28 gold medals at the event. Male wrestlers will vie forglory in two events: Greco-Roman wrestling and freestyle. Competitorswill be divided into nine different weight categories.
Female wrestlers will compete in a freestyle event, with 10 weight classes ranging from 44 to 75 kilograms.
With many experienced athletes, sports teams from Bac Giang and BacNinh Provinces and the Ministry of Public Security are expected tocompete for the top three places in the overall ranking table.

It is the first time that the country is to hold a G1-level tournament which is expected to lure more than 100 athletes of 15 countries and regions at Go Vap Gymnasium.
