HCM City (VNA)🐎 – Atotal of 150 couples are expected to set a new Vietnam record for the largestnumber of participants in a mass wedding to be held on October 15.
According to the event’sorganisers, the mass wedding has been organised for 13 years and supported morethan a thousand couples who are workers with economic difficulties and can’tafford a wedding. This year's ceremony will also include the participation ofother groups such as teachers and demobilised soldiers, among others, who comefrom Ho Chi Minh City and other surrounding areas. They will be presented free wedding rings, make-up services,wedding celebrations, photos and health checkup packages. Those in greatfinancial difficulty will get housing support./.
The HCM City Labourers and Youth Support Centre will organise a mass wedding for 100 couples on the National Day (September 2) to help less well-off workers have a proper ceremony.
Eighteen couples tied the knot in an October 15 mass wedding held in “new lifestyle” practices on pedestrian streets around Hoan Kiem Lake in downtown Hanoi.
