Entries are being invited to the seventh External Information Service Awards, which aim to honour individuals and collectives with outstanding press and publication works in the field of external information service.
Hanoi (VNA) – Entries are being invitedto the seventh External Information Service Awards, which aim to honour individualsand collectives with outstanding press and publication works in the field ofexternal information service.
Entries should reflect the situation in Vietnam,the Party’s guidelines, the State’s policies and laws, the country’s stances oninternational and regional issues, international issues of public concern, positiveinternational opinions about Vietnam, or the rejection of wrong information anddistortions about Vietnam in different aspects, including national sovereigntyand territory, democracy, and human rights.
They could also be the ones helping to popularisethe Vietnamese land, culture, history, and people.
Submissions can be in any language and must bepublished between July 1, 2020 and June 30, 2021.
They could be articles on print newspapers,online newspapers, or news websites, radio broadcasts, television broadcasts,press photos, landscape photos, books, video clips, or external informationinitiatives, ideas and products.
The entries are requested to be sent tothe Radio The Voice of Vietnam - the standing agency of this year'sawards by July 15 at the latest.
An award presenting ceremony is scheduled to be heldin August.
Last year, the organising board received about1,300 entries in nine categories and 17 languages./.

Vietnamese Ambassador to Mexico Nguyen Hoai Duong handed over the third prizes of the 2020 National External Information Service Awards to two Mexican authors at an event held in Mexico City on October 30.
The Party Central Committee’s Commission for Information and Education has presented certificates of merit to 30 collectives, including the World News Department of the Vietnam News Agency, and 16 individuals for their outstanding performance in the external information service and communications about seas, islands, and land border.
